It was a great relief to return to the museum. I have become so fond of my weekly visits. WHN as radiant as ever. And as oppressed. Continued my intense study in anticipation of beginning the replica. Must commit every detail to memory.

Saw Margaret again for coffee after work. Quite enjoyable and I think I managed to comport myself reasonably well. Kept discussion of Duchamp to a minimum. I asked her whether she or any of the other museum employees had ever shaken WHN. She hadn’t and didn’t know of anyone that had. I will get my chance soon enough.
