Duchamp once said: “Everything that man has handled has the fatal tendency to secrete meaning.” But what if the “everything” is trapped in a box whose purpose is to forbid all such handling? What does the noise sound like? What makes the sound? How can I find out the answers to these questions? What meanings am I missing because of this foolishness?
